Mobile gaming has become a huge industry in recent years, with billions of people around the world glued to their phones, playing games for hours on end. Nepal, a small country nestled in the Himalayas, might not be the first place that comes to mind when you think of mobile game development. However, there is a growing community of passionate and talented game developers in Nepal, creating innovative and unique mobile games. We had the pleasure of interviewing some of these developers to gain insight into their creative process and the challenges they face in the rapidly evolving world of mobile gaming.
One of the developers we spoke with was Sushil Shrestha, the founder of Nepali gaming studio, The Ayoz Games. Shrestha has been in the gaming industry for over 15 years and has witnessed the rapid growth of mobile gaming first-hand. He shared that the biggest challenge for Nepali game developers is the lack of resources and infrastructure, but it has never stopped their passion for creating games. Another developer we interviewed, Pratik Karki, founder of Visarga Studios, highlighted the importance of incorporating unique elements of Nepali culture into their games. With stunning graphics and engaging storylines, these developers are putting Nepal on the map in the world of mobile gaming.
